Gordon Davidiuk Obituary

Gordon Rae Davidiuk Nov 24 1939 ~ Feb 24 2024 (84), passed away peacefully in his apartment in Lacombe AB.

Gordon was born in Notikewin, Alberta. Then became a long time resident of Lacombe where he was a staple in the community. He owned Juniper Emblems, with his loving wife Charlotte, ran the Esso at Juniper Lodge, and spent free time volunteering with the Legion, playing golf, enjoying holidays around the world, going to the cabin at Gull Lake, camping trips, hunting on horses, and spending time with the many friends he loved and cherished.

Gord was blessed with a light-hearted approach to life and loved playing pranks, sharing his adventures, ruling at crib, and telling stories around the backyard fire pit. Hosting family gatherings, having a drink at happy hour, or a coffee with the boys during the week were some of Gord’s favourite times. He always found the positive side of things and this attitude rubbed off on the people that surrounded him. Gordon will be truly missed.

Gord is survived by his grandson Arlo Davidiuk, daughter-in-law Courtney Driver, niece Carrie Brule, Jodie & Jason, Clayton Magosse (Val) Alia, & Dalton, several Swain nieces and nephews, good friend Blaine Lindquist & numerous other friends that were like family.

He is predeceased by his wife Charlotte Davidiuk (Swain), son Craig Davidiuk, father Manley Davidiuk, mother Kathleen Davidiuk (Ungarian), & sister Doris Magosse (Davidiuk).

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 15, 2024 from 1- 4pm at the Lacombe Legion, 5138 49 St, Lacombe, all are welcome.
