With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Hannah F. Foster, who left us peacefully on February 20, 2025, four days short of her 96th birthday, a life well lived.
Hannah was born at Minnehik, Alberta in her grandparents home on the farm, The first born child of Lloyd and Nettie Parker. She was raised on the family farm along with her siblings, resided there until she met Frank Preston Foster while cooking at her fathers sawmill camp. They were married December 4th 1950, together they worked the homestead side by side and she continued to reside there until her passing.
Hannah was a hard worker, whether it was picking roots, driving a team of horses, milking cows, or working their sawmill and all other aspects of farm life. She was the family disciplinary, eat it or get your ass kicked, and always spoke her mind with no filter. Hannah enjoyed her garden, dancing, road trips, cribbage, jigsaw puzzles and hanging out smoking with her shop friends.
Hannah loved all her family and took pride and interest in their adventures and accomplishments.
She is survived by; her children; (Patricia), Imogene (Mike), Wilfred (Candee), Bernard (Shannon); Grandchildren; Tricia, Darla, Anthony, Darwen (Meaghan), Pamela, Laurel (Mark), Bradley (Danielle), Spencer (Candace) and (Lisa) Great Grandchildren; Christine, Cassandra (Adam), Terrek, Erin (Chris), Jaidan (Layne), Chloe (Ryan), Braedon, Alice, Shylo, Hanna, Taylor, Preston, Owen, Harper, Lincoln, McKinley, Alex, Oz,and Ollie; Great Great grandchildren; Callie and Jaxx. Also survived by brother; Charlie, Sister; Nettie, sister in laws; Marilynne, Faye, and Jeannie. Numerous niece, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by her loving husband Frank, son; Theodore (Ted), grandson; Kevin. Sisters; Eileen and Muriel; Brothers; Roy, Henry, Dalton and Cliff.
A Celebration of Hannah's Life will be held on Sunday March 09, 2025 from 1-4 pm at the Buck Lake Community Centre
