Hazel Heistad

Jeanette ‘Hazel’ Heistad (Boettger) was born in Olds, AB, on August 25, 1936, and passed away at Lacombe Hospital on Sunday, November 17, 2024.

Hazel survived by her children: Lynn (Murrough) Quiding, Wanda (Dale) McNaught, Joanne (Terry) McNaught, Debbie Heistad, and son in-law Clark Merkus, 13 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren; brothers: Larry (May) Boettger, Glen (Cathy) Boettger and Blane (Denise) Boettger; sisters in-law,  Pearl Boettger and Donna (Paul) Petry, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Hazel was pre-deceased by her husband Don, her daughter Vicki Merkus, brothers: Murray Boettger and Allan Boettger, parents Walter and Margaret Boettger and in laws Joe and Hedvig Heistad.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 22, 2024at 1:00p.m. at Wilson’ s Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, Alberta, T4L 2E5.
