Heather Mary Esther Halford (Wyllie)
1952 - 2021
It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Heather Halford (nee: Wyllie) at the Red Deer Hospice on Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at the age of 69 years.
Heather was born on January 10, 1952 to Robert (Bob) and Kathleen (Kay) Wyllie in Weston, Ontario (both predeceased). She lived most of her adult life in Calgary and Central Alberta.
Heather was a courageous, strong, intelligent beautiful person who loved to sing and dance whenever the mood struck. She was steadfast in her spirituality and her love for her family. Heather loved to travel and had the opportunity to experience many different countries. One of her favorite experiences was travelling with her sisters Sandra and Lynda to Ireland in 2018, in which she reflected joyfully on numerous occasions.
Heather will be lovingly remembered by her previous husband, Robert Halford as well as her children and step-children; Lorrie Sehlstrom (Darren), Rhonda Waller, Jim Waller, Kari Halford, Lanna Desrochers (Mike) and Todd Halford (Amanda).
Together, Heather and Bob shared many grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren; Zach, Taylor, Tonisha, Stacey, Curtis, Nick, Kristin, Hudson, Piper, Ryan, Joe, Ben, Lilly, Clair and Owen.
Heather is survived by her siblings; Brian Wyllie (Betty), Lynda Taylor (Mark), Sandra Wyllie, Thomas Wyllie, Kenneth Wyllie and many nieces and nephews.
Heather was predeceased by her parents, her dear sister Dianne Woolley and dear brother Keith Wyllie.
We are currently creating a video tribute to appear soon. Heather’s ashes will be dispersed at Bowness Park in Calgary, Alberta on a future date to be determined.
Please share your comments and pictures as we will take great solace in all the ways Heather (Mom, Sister, Grandma, Aunt, and Friend) is remembered.
If friends so desire memorial tributes in honor of Heather may be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society, 99 Arnott Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta T4R 3S6
