Irene Laura (Northcott) Wilson

Irene Wilson (Northcott) was born to Ralph Northcott and Mary Kathleen (Kirby) Northcott. A woman of strength, fierce love, and undeniable dedication. Irene passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, December 11, 2025.

Irene found immense joy in the simple, beautiful things in life. Her favorite pastimes included gardening, creating stunning beauty with her own hands; Christmas decorating, transforming her home into a festive wonderland; playing card games; shopping; and enjoying good food and BC wine.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Kathy Northcott; her loving husband, Jim Wilson; her former companion, Barry; her sister, Cheryl; and her brother, Bob.

Irene's memory will be cherished and kept alive by her children, Rae and Ron Portmann; her granddaughter, Ashley Cluff; her partner, John Solomons and his warm and welcoming family; her sister, Carol Northcott; and her many extended family members and friends.

A Celebration of Irene’s life is being planned for this coming spring/summer.

The family requests that those wishing to honor Irene's memory reflect on a Christmas past this holiday season, or add a plant for her when tending to your own garden this spring.
