It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Isabelle Dobranski (née Patterson) at her home in Rimbey, Alberta, on Monday, March 24, 2025, with her beloved husband by her side.
Isabelle was born on April 18, 1939, in Kitscoty, Alberta, to Robert and Jesse Patterson. She was the youngest of eight children and the last surviving member of her family.
A woman of many talents and passions, Isabelle was well known for her love of knitting—creating countless dishcloths over the years. She also found joy in gardening, camping, and traveling, particularly spending months at a time exploring the USA.
She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Peter Dobranski, with whom she shared a wonderful life since their marriage on June 13, 1957. They made Rimbey their home in October of 1978. Isabelle is also survived by her two children, Donna (Jim) Noble and Dave (Geri) Dobranski; her grandson, Danny (Kristen) Dobranski; and her great-grandson, Anthony Dobranski.
She was predeceased by her cherished granddaughter, Jennifer Dawn Noble.
As per Isabelle’s wishes, no formal funeral service will be held.
In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to STARS Air Ambulance at https://stars.ca/.
