Jane Winnifred Redekopp

1940 – 2023

Mrs. Jane Redekopp passed away peacefully at the Royal Oak Village, Lacombe, Alberta on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the age of 82 years.

She will lovingly remembered by her husband, Walter; her son Toby (Kelly Brausse) Stuber of Blackfalds, Alberta, her daughter Kathy (Glen) Jeglum of Clive, Alberta and Glenda (Gordon) Wright of Lacombe, Alberta, 6 grandchildren as well as 4 great-grandchildren.

Jane was predeceased by her parents, Charles and Marjorie Ayre and her brother Charles “Bruce” Ayre.

Jane was born August 3, 1940 at Seba Beach, Alberta to Charles and Marjorie Ayre.  She remained in Seba Beach and received her primary education.  She received by Teaching Certificate and began her teaching career in The County of Forty Mile, Manyberries.

Her children were born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Kathy in 1963, Glenda 1964 and Toby 1967.

She met Walter Redekopp in a restaurant where she worked, they were married in 1976.  The family moved to Lacombe that same year and started building their forever home in Clive, Alberta and they moved to Clive in 1977.  

Jane was a very community minded person, dedicating to her time to those that needed a visit, phone calls and her Church family.  She was an Avon Representative for many years and kept in touch with her customers who were also her friends. 

She was an avid gardener both vegetables and her flowers.  Her gardens were admired by all and she shared their bounty with many.
