Jared White Obituary

Jared Raymond White

2000 - 2021

It is with immense sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our beloved Jared Raymond White on April 19 at the age of 21.

Jared was born on January 1, 2000 at Red Deer, Alberta. He was the second son born to Brendon and Joan White and brother to Brant White.  Brant was absolutely thrilled to have a baby brother and would spend untold hours watching Jared in his bassinet, asking when he might get up and play.

Jared and his family spent their summers camping west of Rocky Mountain House where he loved the freedom, peace, and solitude of the wilderness, and of course a good roaring bonfire.   He would often spend his time carving patterns into a stick or burning designs into wood using the sun and a magnifying glass.

Jared grew up in Lacombe where he enjoyed a close group of wonderful friends. They often visited a local thrift store to see what treasures could be discovered.   On one such occasion,  Jared purchased a red leather jacket that would become his trademark 'party'  jacket and was worn to many fun events thereafter.

Jared's love for music led to his having a very diverse playlist. When the family went on road trips, music was always part of the ride and everyone would sing along to anything ranging from Dropkick Murphys,  ACDC, Billy Talent, Johnny Cash, and everything in between. He was blessed with a quiet but witty nature, and when listening to and conversing with friends,  would often drop a 'one-liner' out of nowhere that would leave everyone laughing.

Jared graduated from Lacombe Composite High School in 2018 then took his incredibly creative talent to Kelowna to attend the Centre for Arts and Technology where he studied Filmmaking.  He met a fantastic group of new friends who became what he fondly referred to as his "Film Fam".  He graduated from C.A.T. in 2020, where his amazing work ethic and positive attitude earned him a Diploma with Distinction.  He and his roommates then moved to Richmond B.C. in September 2020 to further pursue their careers in film.  Jared loved to share his experiences from his new career with us.  It was so interesting to learn about what he was doing, since it was uncharted territory to the rest of his family.

Along with his father, mother, brother and future sister in law,  Jared is survived by his aunt, two uncle's, three cousins, one grandmother and many friends.  He was predeceased by both of his grandfathers and one grandmother.

There will be no funeral service.   A private gathering will be held at a later date.
