Jean Elizabeth Binning passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on April 3, 2024 at the age of 95. She was born on May 3, 1928 to William and Jennie Gordon, the oldest of five children. She was proud to have lived her entire life in Lacombe and area. Jean was married to Fred Binning on June 22, 1957 and they enjoyed nearly 53 years of marriage. Together Jean and Fred raised three daughters. Mom was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. She is survived by her three daughters and their husbands: Barb and Merv Leidl, Linda and Todd Palmer, and Cheryl and Cyril Mitchell; her five grandchildren: Jill and Nathan Clarke, Wade Palmer and Sarah Pukin, Nicole Leidl, Erin Leidl and Nolan Mitchell; and one great grandson, Robert Clarke. She is also survived by her sister Audrey McKay, her brother and sister-in-law Murray and Carrol Gordon, brother-in-law George Petry, numerous nieces and nephews and many friends. Jean was predeceased by her loving husband Fred; brother and sister-in-law, Allan and Judy Gordon; sister, Pat Petry and brother-in-law, Bert McKay. A family internment will take place at a later date.
Mom was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
