Jean Popp

It is with saddened hearts of the family of Jean Popp announces her passing on Saturday, November 8, 2025 at the age of 95 years.

She was born May 10, 1930 at Cormorant Lake, Manitoba and grew up with 4 sisters and 5 brothers. She eventually sought employment with Manitoba Telephone Systems in The Pas for a number of years. She was married in 1954 having two children, Karen and Tim. Her life moved her to Whitehorse, Yukon Territory in 1965 where she worked with the Hudson Bay Company and later with Canadian National Telecommunications for many years eventually retiring. She loved her garden, greenhouse, a good barbque and walking her miniature grey poodle, Twiggy. She had a circle of friends and enjoyed get togethers over a bottle of wine. After many years she left the Yukon in 1996, living near Ponoka, Alberta.

She leaves behind her daughter Karen, grandson James, and her son, Tim and his wife Linda.
