Jeffrey Paul Beck

With deep sadness and the heaviest of hearts, we announce the sudden passing of Jeffrey Paul Beck of Lacombe (1997) at the age of 61. He is survived by his loving wife of 28 years, Claudia; he was a loving father to his children, Patrick (Carmen), Paulina, and Peyton; he was a beloved Opa to Sawyer and Mason; his stepmother, Jackie; his sister-in-law Linda as well as his brothers, Kelvin (Karen), Mike (Koren), and Keith (Desi). His stepbrothers and sisters include Craig (Janet) Tomash, Trudy (Bob) Mason, Guy Tomash (Akosua), and Lynn (Orville) Lourance. He was predeceased by his parents, Paula and Earl, and his brothers, Ronald and Gregory.

Jeff was a foodie at heart. He enjoyed the barbecue and experimenting in the kitchen, frequently planned his next meal before he was done with his last, and took risks on miscellaneous street food when he travelled. But his absolute favourite thing was feeding his family until they busted at the seams. He enjoyed a long career as a Red Seal Journeyman Instrument Technician (Firebag) and a Red Seal Bricklayer when he was a young man. He enjoyed adventure, whether it was in the North Sea, Asia, West Africa, or even in our great outdoors. He could spend the whole day fishing on the boat, revelling in the serenity of the calm waters. He was gentle, caring, selfless, funny, and kind. He was a good man.

Jeff loved his whole family, and we wish we had more time to love him.

A Funeral Service will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel (6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe) on Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 1:00 p.m.
