John Adams

1948 - 2020 

It is with sadness that family and friends of John Edward Adams, born in Red Deer, Alberta on February 4, 1948, announce his  passing  in Lacombe, Alberta on August 6, 2020.
John was predeceased by his parents, Darrel and Esther Adams, brother, Andrew Adams, and three infant sisters, all of Sundre. John will be missed by his sister, Donna Contois of Red Deer, brother Melvin, brother Clancy (Cheryl) of Sundre, special friends, Dale and Dell Pederson of Sundre, Tim Mennear, of Sundre, and numerous nieces and nephews.
In Lacombe, John will be missed by all of us who became part of his life: his devoted staff; friends he met dancing at the Kozy Corner; friends from the Eagles Nest; friends from  places of work, and the home where he lived.
John was a hard working man... a kind, loyal, and loving man. He lived his life with heart, gusto, and a smile on his face. John loved to work, whether helping his dad in the construction business, doing handyman jobs in the community, working at Reg’s Auto Wreckers, or helping out friends and neighbors. John liked  nothing better than to offer someone “ a helping hand.”
This he faithfully did, even shoveling  snow at 4 AM,  until his health started to fail.

A private service will be held for John on Wednesday, August 12, 2020 at Fairview Cemetery in Lacombe, Alberta
