JOHN WILLIAM HOFFARTH
December 31, 1920 to November 10, 2020
John entered into rest at Coronation long term care. John was born Shaunavon Saskatchewan to Edward and Mary Hoffarth. John was blessed to have had a very large family of brothers and sisters, many nieces and nephew’s. John served his country with the Regina riflemen third division in Regina Saskatchewan. John served for approximately six years, until he returned home to care for his family . John was a licensed automotive mechanic ,one that really knew how to work with minimal supplies but you get the job done at hand.
For those who really knew John would say he wore many hats and whatever the task at hand, he would get the job done even if it meant invention had to be made!
John worked many jobs, lumber mills, coal minds but his favourite job was working for Charlie Kikanan at Hespero service station, in the late 60s as a mechanic. John meet many people in the central Alberta area and loved it. He was very helpful friendly and a kind man all the way around.
In the late 1960 John meet a lady and her family and soon after many waters and experiences flowed under and over bridges a lifelong friendship was formed, with the late Laura Kuzio and her family, 53yrs strong! Laura’s children became John’s adopted kids and grandchildren very quickly .
He is survived by his two adopted daughters Christine Cardinal her husband James there son Robert Cardinal. Sharon Elliott and her husband Garth Elliott their daughter Leilani Richards and her husband David Richards. Special niece Lorraine Smith and family. Two half brothers, Fred and George Hoffarth and family. And many other friends and family.
He is predeceased by his mother and father Edward and Mary Hoffarth and all of his full brothers and sisters.
John will be laid to rest on November 23, 2020 in Rocky Mountain House and internment will follow at Pine Grove cemetery due to COVID-19 family and very close friends may only attend his funeral service.
