It is with great sadness we announce Jonathan Lee Anstey of Lacombe passed away unexpectedly in Lacombe on July 11, 2025 at the age of 51.
Jonathan is survived by his loving wife Nicole (nee Callihoo); children, Elijah, Jacob and Mercedes; mother Angeline Anstey; his siblings and their spouses Carolyn Anstey-Moore and Paul Moore, David Anstey and Ann Anstey; father and mother-in-law, Larry and Darlene Callihoo; and, sister in-law Michelle Callihoo and partner Shane McBain; as well as numerous extended family and an abundance of friends. Jonathan is predeceased by his father Alfred Anstey.
Jonathan was born in Salt Pond, Burin NL into a loving family. A Newfoundlander at heart, nevertheless he made his home in Alberta where he built a life rich with love, family and adventure.
He was a kind, generous and hard working man who touched many lives with his presence. He will be deeply missed and always loved by his wife Nicole and his children Elijah, Jacob and Mercedes and his wide circle of family and friends in Alberta, Newfoundland and elsewhere.
A Celebration of Jonathan's Life will take place on Thursday, July 24, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Wilson's Funeral Chapel (6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe).

The Service will be Recorded and posted on this website at its conclusion, for those unable to attend.
