Jonathan Dolman Obituary

The family wishes to announce the passing of Dr. Jonathan Dolman. He was welcomed into his heavenly home September 19, 2020 surrounded by family and friends after a courageous journey with cancer, at the age of 35.

Jonathan is survived by his loving wife Ashley, and two precious daughters Sadie (5) and Annabelle (2), his parents Rob and Wendy Dolman, and his 3 older brothers Darren (Erin), Randy (Kathryn), and Dave (Betty), as well as his Grandfather Dick Ten Hove. He is also missed by his in-laws Rick and Shirley Forbes, Ron and Kathy Dooley, brothers-in-law Scott (Andrea), and Andy, as well as sister-in-law Candace (Rodney) along with 13 nieces and nephews and an abundance of extended family and friends. Jonathan is predeceased by his maternal grandmother, Erlyce Ten Hove and paternal grandparents Brian and Frieda Dolman.

Jonathan was born and raised in Rimbey, AB on the family farm. He attended Rimbey Christian School and graduated from Rimbey Jr./Sr. High School in 2003. Growing up he enjoyed time with friends, quadding, playing hockey, softball and soccer. He always worked hard which included helping on the hog farm, mink farm, and working construction with his brother Darren.

After graduation Jonathan moved to Edmonton to attend the University of Alberta, where he graduated with his undergraduate as well as his Doctor of Dental Surgery in 2012. During these years Jonathan made a number of close friendships that would last long after graduation. One of these was his wife Ashley, whom he married in 2010.

Jonathan and Ashley made their home in Lacombe, Alberta, where Jonathan began practicing dentistry and in 2013 opened Dolman Dental. Jonathan was actively involved in his community, participating in the Lacombe Kinsmen and spending many hours volunteering within the community. Jonathan will be remembered for the kindness and generosity he showed to the many people he came into contact with. Jonathan had a large group of strong friendships and relationships were always a priority to Jonathan.

Jonathan’s first love was the Lord, he had a strong faith which he especially loved sharing with his daughters. Jonathan also loved his family. He loved spending time with Ashley and the girls, whether they were enjoying time at home, or travelling together, he was an active husband and father and loved every minute of it.
