McCONNELL, Keith Edward
1954 – 2023
Keith Edward McConnell passed away peacefully after a memorable visit with his family on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 68 years.
Keith was born in Lacombe, Alberta on October 24, 1954.
He attended school in Lacombe grades 1-12. He furthered his education at SAIT where he pursued drafting. Keith was employed at various jobs including taxi and truck driver, mostly for Hopkins Construction, Bettensons Sand & Gravel, Visions Trucking and Dominos Pizza. If you ever needed a partner for Trivial Pursuit, Keith was the one to pick. He was full of knowledge and, while not an athlete, enjoyed watching any sport, especially the Blue Jay’s.
Keith is survived by his three children, Lynne (and family), Spencer, and Megan – all of Red Deer. He is also survived by his siblings and their families. Carol (John) Kamphuis – Three Hills, Bill (Faith) McConnell – Chehalis, WA., Jo-Anne (Dave) Preszlak – Lacombe, Lori (Jason) Rice – Edmonton.
Keith was predeceased by his parents, Jack and Iona McConnell and his companion, Karen Bannerman.
Keith was very much loved and will be missed.
A private family graveside service (cremation) will take place in the spring when all the family members can be present.
