Kristina Mae Douglas Obituary

Kristina Mae (Missy) Douglas born November 30 1981, died October 16th 2022 at 40 years of age.

Beloved daughter, sister, granddaughter, aunt and friend.

Kristina was predeceased by her father, John Thomas “Jack” Douglas and grandfather, Hans Billy Larsen (Caron).  She is survived by her mother Dorothy (Kathie) Douglas, her eldest brother Jason Michael Douglas (Alicia), younger brother John Billy Douglas (Julie), uncle Bruce Billy Larsen (Sandy), aunt Dana Engel Purcell (Mike) and aunt Nancy Jane Kilrea (Bill).

She will be sadly missed by her cousins, Scarlett Ivy Larsen (Andrew), Mitchell George Purcell (Katherine), Kelsey June Purcell, Katherine Engel Mccullough (Ross), Daniel Billy Kilrea (Kim), David Jack Kilrea (Carrly) and Jack Bruce Kilrea.

Also missing their favorite aunt is Sarah June Douglas and Emma Pearl Douglas to whom she was a confidant, best friend and second mom.

Kristina was also a role model for her young cousin Scarlett and even coached her baseball team.  Scarlett and her mom Sandy spent countless fun hours together watching tv shows while enjoying their favorite drink, Molson Canadian.  Her companionship will be sorely missed.

Kristina worked extremely hard and was dedicated to her career with EdenPark Inc., rising to the position of Vice President of Loan Originations.  She loved her coworkers and developed true life-long friendships with several of them (Jammie, Tina and others).

She will also be sadly missed by her dear friend Amanda with whom she enjoyed many fun and crazy adventures. Mention hot tub to either of these two friends and they would dissolve into giggles.

She excelled at photography and spent many a free weekend taking amazing photos of her niece’s minor hockey team much to the delight of the team parents.  Kristina enjoyed hiking and always brought her beloved dog, Fenway, on her adventures.  She loved doing all outdoor activities with her friends and family and especially enjoyed quadding, skidooing, fishing and golfing.

Kristina’s main love and joy in life was her family.  She put everyone’s needs above her own and was always willing to lend a hand.  She was funny (hilarious actually) and loving and smart and kind and everyone gravitated towards her.  She was simply a wonderful person who is gone way too soon and will never be forgotten.  Our hearts are broken.
