COOKSON, Larry Dale
1958 – 2020
Larry passed away at home on February 2, 2020. He was born in Lacombe 62 years ago on January 9, 1958.
Larry was the third of four Cookson boys and they grew up on the family farm north of Tees, Alberta.
He attended Clive School, then in 1966 the family moved to Lacombe where he attended Elementary, Junior High and High School. Larry was always involved in baseball and hockey.
He spent most of his life working for different oil companies in Oman, New Guinea, Saudi Arabia, Venezuela and India.
On February 14, 2006, Larry married Tevika Naraprakone in Thailand and they moved back to Canada. Larry loved his family deeply, loved children and had a great sense of humour. He was a good soul.
He leaves to mourn his wife, Tevika, her son Peter and grandsons Emerson & Hudson and a special little favourite, Adara; his parents, Ken and Betty Cookson; his son Nicholas; his brothers and sisters-in-law, David (Lois), Allen (Val) and Herbert (Michelle), nieces, nephews and family in both Canada and Thailand.
He has been cremated and there will be a Family Time of Remembrance to take place in the Spring.
