Larry Virgil Jackson of Blackfalds went to be with his Lord and Savior on October 14, 2021, at the age of 82. He was born in Galahad on December 7, 1938. He is survived by his soulmate of 56 years Carol, 4 children Carla (Tim) Ridley, Merilee (Eddie) Turton, Rodney (Aaron) Jackson, and Travis Jackson. Ten grandchildren Cory Ridley, Tyler (Emily) Ridley, Josh Ridley, Samantha Jackson (Steve Steinbrecker), Robbie Jackson (Sara Caissie), Shelbie (Cody) Owen, Janine Scherger (Hayden Bender), Raunie Jackson, and Keisha Jackson. 12 great grandchildren Decklin Jackson, Trinity Jackson, Nova Stagg, Lucy Owen, Macy Owen, Kylee Owen, Brooke Bender, Max Bender, Meleena Bender, Riley Latimer, Avaley Bender, and Alisha Steinbrecker. His brother Boyd (Rose) Jackson, sisters Faye (Irvine) McKee, Sharon Davey, brothers-in-law Jim (Delores) Bullee, Elmer (Doreen) Bullee, sisters-in-law Mildred McKenna, Joyce (Tom) Essington and an abundance of extended family and friends.

He is predeceased by his parents Clarence & Dorothy Jackson, his father-in-law John Bullee, his mother-in-law Martha Bullee, brothers-in-law George Bullee, Johnny Bullee & John Davey, sister-in-law Emma Bullee, and great grandson Carter Bender.

He was a family man. He lived his life to the fullest. He was involved in 4-H in his youth and then again when his children were old enough. He curled with his dad & brother. He loved working with horses and teaching his children to ride. He played the guitar and sang. He enjoyed camping until his passing.

He spent more than 40 year running heavy equipment. He was always involved in his children’s & grandchildren’s lives and spent a lot of time helping others in any way he could. He was admired by many and will be missed by many.
