Larry Frederick Primus of Alix, Alberta left us for greener pastures on March 18, 2026, at the age of 88.

He left behind his loving wife of 66 years, Rosemary Primus (Hoppe) and sister Elaine (Jack) Ziegler. There is not enough time or space to list all the lives he touched with his steadfast quiet strength, unwavering humor and compassionate nature. The days will not seem as bright without him.

A lifetime cattle farmer, Larry loved the land and all the animals that reside here. Larry was in fact an animal whisperer; all creatures gravitated to him (even ones that were not his) just to spend time in his presence.

He will live in our memories every time we see a combine in the sunset or when young calves are frolicking in the fields. We will celebrate with a toast of whiskey at every card game and miss his mischievous smile, blue eyes and rosy cheeks every holiday. May he take care of all the “critters” in heaven till we meet again. He will be forever missed!
