SHERIDAN, Lelia Alberta (Lee)
April 24, 1932 – September 19, 2021
Lee passed away suddenly on Sunday, September 19 at the Lacombe Long Term Care Center. She is lovingly remembered by her children: Peggy and Boyd Helm, Douglas Sheridan, Lori Meier and Wayne Adrian, Diana Poffenroth and Glenn Stewart, and Nancy and Ralph Hartman, daughter-in-law, Lisa Sheridan. She is also survived by her Sister Hazel Albers and Brother David Ganong. 9 Grandchildren: Travis Helm, Derek Helm, Kathy Parsons, Colleen Rolland, Amy Tuccia, Alex Sheridan, Austin Poffenroth, Brayden Poffenroth and Jennifer Meier. She was also blessed with 8 Great Grandchildren. Lee was recently predeceased by her son Gordon Sheridan. Predeceased also by 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Lee was born in Calgary, the daughter of Ronald and Catherine Ganong. She moved to Lacombe in 1981 where she managed the Kentucky Fried Chicken Store until her retirement in 1997, earning her the nickname Gramma Chickie. She enoyed reading, outings to the racetrack and attending her grandchildren’s functions. By far her greatest accomplishment was raising her 6 children to become healthy happy adults, that she was so proud of. She was a beautiful, resilient woman with an incredible sense of humour. She will be dearly missed.
A Private Family Graveside will be held at Fairview Cemetery in Lacombe with Lunch to follow.
