It is with great sadness that the family of Leslie David Flinn of Lacombe announce that he passed away unexpectedly on December 25, 2021 at the age of 78 years.

Les was born in Turner Valley, and was raised in Lacombe AB. where he went to school and then at a young age started working with the Family business of water well drilling.

In the 60s he took on a new adventure and moved to Dawson Creek BC where he started a career with BC Tel. Where he met and married Shirley in 1972. They had 2 children together Christine and Bill. The Family moved back to his home town of Lacombe in 1978 where Les was still able to continue doing his favorite hobbies of hunting, fishing and enjoying his family. He had a long career in Real Estate and Alberta Registries.

Les is survived by his loving wife Shirley, of 49 years; his daughter Christine Flinn-Portsmouth (Paul); son Bill Flinn(Cassandra); and Grandchildren, Jessica Portsmouth, Tyler Portsmouth, Megan Portsmouth. His brother Robert Flinn; sister’s, Terrie Huff (Bob) and Myrna Decou. Les also had many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his mom and dad, William and Sarah Flinn; his brothers, Donald Flinn, Allen Siebel and George Siebel.

A Graveside Service for Les will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, Niche Wall, Lacombe, Alberta on Friday, January 7, 2022 at 1:00 p.m.

Special thanks to the EMT’s and Lacombe Fire Dept., Drs. and Nurses of the Ponoka General Hospital for their loving care of Les on the evening of December 25, 2021.
