Linda Ann (VanHereweghe) Guilbault Obituary
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Linda Ann Guilbault, a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Linda’s family was the centre of her world. She gave her love freely and unconditionally to everyone fortunate enough to know her.
Linda shared a remarkable 57 years of marriage with her soulmate, Jim, building a life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories. Together, they spent 25 years working their family farm, raising their children, and putting down deep roots in their community. They later enjoyed another 22 years travelling south each winter, cherishing their time side by side and embracing the timeless gift of companionship.
A proud and fiercely supportive mom and grandma, Linda never missed an opportunity to cheer on her children and grandchildren. Whether at hockey rinks, soccer fields, or school performances, she was their loudest voice in the crowd: full of encouragement, beaming pride, and endless love.
In her quieter moments, Linda found happiness in quilting, baking, working on puzzles, and watching her favorite crime shows. She had a deep appreciation for life’s simple pleasures. When
surrounded by family and friends, Linda truly came alive- always ready with a good margarita in hand, a heartfelt story to share, and a joke that would bring laughter to the room.
Linda will be remembered for her hugs, kindness, warmth, and unwavering devotion to her family. Her legacy lives on infinitely in the countless lives she touched, and the ever-present love she has brightened the universe with.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
She is predeceased by her parents, Stanley and Eileen (Ayers) Van Hereweghe; brothers, Harry, Louis, Glenn, Clarke, and Stanley Van Hereweghe; sisters, Elna Molyneaux and Marlene Redman; and great-grandson, Linden.
She is survived by her husband, Jim Guilbault; son, Rodney (Lynny) Guilbault, and daughter, Danielle (Darren) Davies; grandchildren, Rachee, Krysten (Chad), Jared (Kodi), Logan (Emily),
Raven, Shayna, Mason; and her 9 great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Hayes and Darlene Evans; extended family, and many close friends.
At Linda’s request, there will be no formal funeral; a celebration of life will be scheduled at a later time. Special thanks to Dr. Howery, along with the Lacombe hospital staff and paramedic team for their compassionate lifesaving efforts.
