LINDA MAY WATT

1926 - 2021

Mrs. Linda May Watt passed away at the Stettler Health Care Centre on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at the age of 95 years.

Linda was born in Rimbey, Alberta and was raised from the age of 4 in Tees, Alberta, by Glenn and Linda (Wiese) Marshall. In 1947 she married Lloyd Watt and they raised 8 children.

Linda loved to cook, she spent many years cooking in work camps, restaurants, Alix Arena concession, Heart Haven Lodge (Stettler), and The Alix Hotel Café. Her personal kitchen was always warm and inviting with the smell of cooking and the welcoming smile.

Linda was an avid curler, had a passion for dancing and was community minded with her years volunteerism with the I.O.D.E. Canada.

She will be lovingly remembered by her children; Donna (John) Helmer, George Watt (Robin), Beverley (Ken) Letourneau, Betty-Jo (Jim) Schmidt, Tammy (Ed) Love, Teryl Watt and Bruce (Penny) Watt; her son-in-law, Richard (Betty) Mortenson; sixteen grandchildren, Brandi, Shane (Frances), Megan, Kelly, Kristina (Jason), Anne (Brandy) Kari (Chris), Scott (Ryn), Bradley (Vanessa), Kevin (Bobbie), Terence (Melissa), Crystal (Jeff), Darius (Cindy), Tyson (Jessica), Dezerae (Jesse), Shelby (Cameron) and twenty-three great grandchildren, Taylor, Jayde, Brock, Luke, Hayley, Jordyn, Pavel, Kalan, Kazzandra, Effie, Payton, Beckett, Samson, Sydnie, Sawyer, Liam, Caylum, Bella, Rayden, Dylan, Austin, Harper and Emilee; her sister, Violet Conrod; sister-in-law, Esther.

Linda was predeceased by her beloved husband and daughter, Lloyd George Watt and Linda “Diane” Mortenson.  She was also predeceased by her brothers, Earl, Doug, Jake, Glenn, and Lynn (Linda’s twin); her sisters, Marie, Gladys, Lola, Jean, Esther and Eva; her brothers-in-law, Fred, Leo, James, Jim, Con, Dennis, Neil, Bruce, Roy, Mac and Jack; sisters-in-laws, Mickey, Connie, Sarah, Edna, Elsie, Katie and Ruby as well as numerous other relatives and many dear friends.

A Private Family Graveside Service will be held.
