The family would sadly like to announce the passing of Lois Pattison on March 18, 2025, at 85 years old, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s.
She was predeceased by her mother, Dorothy Sawyer (nee Rutherford); father, Emerson Sawyer; and her brother, Robert Sawyer.
She is survived by her loving, husband, Herbert Pattison; her daughter, Heather Villadsen (Terry Bailey); her grandchildren, Dillon Villadsen (Courtney Francoeur), Chantel Villadsen (Kenneth Mosson); as well as many treasured relatives and friends.
Lois was born in Antler, Saskatchewan on August 6, 1939. Her family moved to the Lacombe area in her teen years. She married Herbert Pattison on Sept. 17, 1960. She worked as a Nurse’s Aide at the Lacombe Hospital for a few years before they moved to Red Deer, where she found her love of arranging flowers working for Good's Flowers. Lois worked for the Good's for a total of twenty years. Herb and Lois welcomed their daughter, Heather in 1970, to whom she was the most amazing mother and friend.
Later in her life Lois found a passion for custodial work with the Red Deer Public School District where she worked until she retired.
The family would like to send special thank you to the exceptional staff at Michener Extendicare. Connie, Elle, Joseph and Daisy. And a gracious thank you to Harold and Gladys Good and family, for their continued love and support.
A Funeral Service will be held at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel (6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe) on Friday, March 28, 2025, at 2:00 pm. A time of refreshments will take place immediately following the Funeral Service at the Kozy Korner (5024 53 St, Lacombe).
