Malcolm Ould Obituary

Malcolm Meinzinger Ould

August 15, 1937 - Nov 12, 2021

Malcolm Ould was born on August 15th, 1937 in his grandfather's house in Chatham, Ontario to parents Frederick and Barbara Ould (Meinzinger). He "robbed the cradle" and married his hunny, Elaine Elgie, on June 2, 1962 in Coatsworth, Ontario. They were blessed with four sons: Wayne ('63), James ('64), Mark ('66), and Robert ('71).

As a boy Malcolm helped his dad run the family vegetable business. He started working full time at the age of 16, and he became a man of many trades. He did carpentry work with two of his uncles, then later started his own carpentry business with a partner (1965-1972).  In 1972 Malcolm moved his wife and young sons to Alberta, arriving on October 9th. He started building a house on November 7th on the new farm they purchased, close to Leslieville, AB. They finished building the house in April 1973.

Malcolm continued doing carpentry work on the side, but his main focus was working the farm. He cleared the land, raised a herd of cattle, and bred and trained Quarter Horses. In 1991, Malcolm became an Insurance Salesman and an Investment Broker. He did that full time for 15 years, while also running the farm.

Over all of this was his faith in God, and his commitment to his Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Malcolm passed away peacefully on November 12, 2021 in Rocky Mountain House, AB from liver and kidney failure.

Malcolm is survived by his loving wife, Elaine Ould, his four sons, three siblings, and their families:  Wayne Ould (Tracey), grandchildren Daniel Ould, and Sarah Poot (Bart); James Ould (Martha), grandson Andrew Ould (Cathy), great-granddaughters Brylei Granger, Cienna Granger, great-great-grandson Hendryx, grandson Josh Ould (Beth), great-grandchildren Hazel Ould, and Zane Ould, grandsons Nathan Ould, Caleb Ould (Breanna), great-granddaughters Kinsley Ould, and a baby on the way, Grandson Levi (Vanessa), great-grandchildren Jeremiah Ould, and Hadley Ould; Mark Ould; Robert Ould (Cheryl), grandchildren Wyatt Richter, Ashley Richter, Alysha Richter, Jarett Richter; Brother Calvin Oulds (Dianne), sister Vicky Apthorp (Ken), brother Rick Oulds, and sister-in-law Holly Weinburger.
