BAXTER, Margaret Watt
1932 - 2021
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Margaret Watt Baxter on March 3, 2021 at the age of 88 years. Margaret was born on November 28, 1932 to Thomas and Agnes Fairley in Bathgate, Scotland. She married her husband John Baxter on August 8, 1953 and they emigrated to Canada with their daughter Agnes in 1963. Margaret spent most of her working life as an office manager for Doctors and was very active in the Burns Club in Red Deer and Scottish Country Dance Society. She was predeceased by her husband John in March of 2005 and also her brother John Fairley in Scotland. She will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Agnes (Tiny) Thesen of Red Deer and her son Ian (Monique) Baxter of Fox Creek, Alberta; grandchildren, Allister (Eloise) Thesen, Fiona (Brad) Prins, Raven and Micaela Baxter; great-grandchildren, Chelsea (Darren), Steven, William & Camille Thesen, and Blair, Carson and Riva Prins; great great-grandchildren, Zaydenn, Zerryck and Zekklen Murley and Brooklyn Thesen. She will also be missed by many nieces and nephews in Scotland and by many dear friends. Following Margaret’s wishes, there will be no funeral, she will be interred with her husband John at a later date, in the Blackfalds Cemetery.
