Marian Clarice (Sinclair) Yarbrough

Marian Clarice Yarbrough (nee Sinclair) age 81, passed away peacefully surrounded by family at the Rimbey Continuing Care Centre on Friday, April 7, 2023. Marian, affectionately known as “Ma”, is survived by her husband of 63 years Lloyd Yarbrough, their four children: Peggy Pilgrim, Boyd Yarbrough (Gina), Cheryl Clark (Dwight) and Frances Schwartz (Ron); six grandchildren: Amanda Watson (Shane Pye-Perler), Chris Clark (Stacy), Clarissa Clark, James Yarbrough, Jeff Yarbrough, and Marsha Clark (Victor Ndegeya), six great-grandchildren: Amberle Clark, Autumn Pye-Perler, Colin Pye-Perler, Margeaux Clark, Taleah Ndegeya, Tyson Clark Douglas, and Zander Watson, her two sisters Davena Ma (Loyal) and Jean Stephanson (Stewart), and a caring group of nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. All of these she loved and cherished.

Marian was born in Rocky Mountain House and grew up on a farm in the Strachan area. She and Lloyd married in the spring of 1959 and over the years made their home and raised their children in Rocky Mountain House, Red Deer, and a family farm located in Red Deer County. After selling the farm, Lloyd and Marian retired to Rimbey and later moved to Red Deer.

Family and friends extend heartfelt gratitude to Dr Ellis and the staff of Area 3 at Rimbey Continuing Care Centre for their support and compassionate care for Marian. Your kindness is greatly appreciated.

A Celebration of Marian’s life will be held at the Ridgewood Community Hall, Red Deer County on Friday, July 7 at 2 PM.
