YAKUNIN, Marilee Ann

1962 - 2020

Marilee Ann Yakunin passed away unexpectedly on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the age of 58 years.

She will be sadly missed by her stepmother, Lanette Morden and her special friends, Laura (Dan) Reid, as well as numerous relatives. Marilee was predeceased by her parents Alexander and Shirley Yakunin and her brother, Brian Yakunin. Marilee was born and raised in Calgary, where she received her education, She spent all of her summers at the cottage in Ebeling Subdivision of Gull Lake, Alberta. Because this was her really happy times, she moved into the cottage full time and became a long-time resident of Gull Lake. Marilee worked for many years in the Bentley Grocery Store where she met Dan and Laura Reid and many members of the community. She embraced this lifestyle, making many renovations and upgrading her beloved cottage and yard. She was involved in the community and is the past CEO of the Summer Village of Parkland Beach. Marilee loved Hawaii and spent all her vacation and many months of her winter there.

Cremation has taken place and there will be no formal service for Marilee. Her remains will be taken to Hawaii for her final resting place.
