It is with great sadness to announce Marilyn Novak of Lacombe passed away unexpectedly at Red Deer Hospital on August 18, 2021 at the age of 76.

Marilyn Novak is survived by loving children; Sue Guthrie & Darren Gagnon (Tammy Gagnon), and grandchildren; Montana Turnovitski, Zachary Guthrie, Dylan Gagnon, Taylor Waldbauer, Carter Waldbauer and Riley Waldbauer, extended family and an abundance of friends.

Marilyn Novak was born in Winnipeg, Manitoba where she lived most of her life prior to moving to British Columbia. While in British Columbia, Marilyn helped care for 2 of her grandchildren, Montana and Zachary. Marilyn survived her last few years in Lacombe along side her son Darren and family.

Marilyn loved to spend time with her grandchildren, bake, go to church at St.Cyprian’s Anglican Church and enjoy music in the park. Marilyn loved to give back to the community by volunteering her time with newborn babies, assisting in the hospital giftshops and guiding people around the hospital.

Special thanks to the hospital staff at Red Deer Hospital that made her comfortable her last few days.
