Marjorie Helen Marshall

Marjorie Helen Marshall passed away peacefully surrounded by her children at the Royal Oak Memory Care Cottage on Sunday, October 20th, 2019 at the age of 89 years.

Marge was born March 1, 1930 in Lethbridge, Alberta.  She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her children:  Barb (Gord) Johnston, Brenda (Bill) Jackson, Connie Johnson (Allen), Bob (Shelley) Marshall, Colleen (Boris) Velcic, & Jackie Marshall.  She was cherished by her eight grandchildren, five great grandchildren and brother Bill (Lynn) Cook.

Marge kept active in the care of her family, her working career at the Lacombe Research Station, her interests in dancing, gardening, travelling and volunteering in the community, especially making weekly dinners at Kozy Korner and time with the Lacombe and District Music Festival. 

Our family appreciated the wonderful care Mum received from the staff at Royal Oak and her special care companions.

A Celebration of Marge's life will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel in Lacombe on Tuesday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. with a reception to follow at the Kozy Korner, 5024 53 Street, Lacombe.

In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made to:  Kozy Korner Senior Center, Royal Oak Memory Care Cottage Courtyard, Lacombe and District Music Festival Assoc., or the Alberta Alzheimer Research Program.

Mum was a wonderful example to everyone of a caring and generous lady who always put others before herself.
