Obituary for Marlene Stanchfield

It is with heavy hearts and sorrow we bid farewell to a very loyal and special Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandma, Sister and Friend, Marlene Stanchfield.

Mom was not only our inspiration she was our best friend and was loved and will be missed forever, leaving a huge hole in all of our hearts.

Marlene was born in 1938 in Ponoka, Alberta the eldest daughter of Vern & Edith McGarvey.

Mom has a strong work ethic, a kind heart and a great listening ear. She had a strong zest for life and a mischievous spirit that all could see present right up to her passing.

Marlene loved farm life while residing on the farm east of Clive and she loved being outdoors. She adjusted to condo life where she still enjoyed growing tomato plants and flowers on her deck, sewing, knitting, crocheting and loved her old time music. She was a fabulous cook. She loved to square dance and dance in general.

Travelling with her sisters was always fun for her until she her health prevented travel.

Her family was her greatest joy and accomplishment and she was very proud of them and loved their visits.
