Mary Bennett was born on August 3, 1947, in Lacombe, Alberta, to Carl and Ava Glenn. She spent her early years attending Sargent School and later graduated Grade 12 from Clive High School.
Mary lived a life closely connected to farm life and took great pride in it. She worked alongside her husband, Welland, raising purebred Hereford cattle. Together they built a life rooted in dedication, responsibility, and care for the land and livestock.
Her family was always her priority. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, and she found her greatest joy in time spent with her family.
Mary’s faith was an important part of her daily life. She spent many hours reading scripture and in prayer with her Lord, finding strength and peace in her beliefs.
She is survived by her three children: Ted (Naomi) Bennett, Melanie (Myles) Aitken, and Laurie (Trevor) Gray; eight grandchildren: Chase (Makenzie) Bennett, Wyatt (Britni) Bennett, Zane (Hailee) Bennett, Josephine (Mark) Gray, Caitlin (Brett) Gray, Isabelle Gray, Daniel Aitken, and Sarah Aitken; and four great-grandchildren: Maicee, Layton, Briggs, and Janie Bennett.
She was predeceased by her husband, Welland Bennett; her brother, Wesley Glenn; and her dear friend, Dennis Lea.
Mary Bennett will be remembered for her steady presence, strong faith, and dedication to her family and farm.
