Minnie Delilah Goode of Red Deer, AB passed away after a long struggle with dementia at Aspen Ridge Revera on Friday, September 15, 2023 at the age of 94 years.

Minnie was born in Westbank, Nova Scotia and grew up by the Bay of Fundy.  As a young woman, Minnie came to Alberta to teach school.  She met and married Dixon Goode while teaching in Lacombe, and they welcomed their only son, Timothy, in 1962.  Minnie spent most of her teaching career at Central Junior High in Red Deer.  She lived a quiet life, full of faith, love for her family, and teaching.  Minnie enjoyed sewing, knitting, and especially quilting.

Minnie leaves to mourn her passing her son, Timothy (Margaret) Goode; her grandchildren, Michael, Nathan (Charissa), and Adam (Kelsey) Goode; and her five great grandchildren, Rowan, Theren, Laith, Ruxton, and Heston.  She was predeceased by her husband, Dixon Goode; her parents, Rachel and Desmond Willigar; and her siblings, Ruth and Sheldon (Carol) Willigar.

A Funeral Service will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel (6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe) on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery.
