Nancy Wynnyk

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Nancy Wynnyk (Novynka) on February 22, 2021 at the age of 95 years.  Nancy is survived by her daughters, Betty (Bill) and Peggy, and her grandson, Kevin.  Nancy was predeceased by her husband, Nick; parents, Wasyl and Eudokia; and brother, Joseph.

Nancy was born in Northbank (Warspite), Alberta.  As a young woman, she moved to Cadomin to work.  It was there that she met her future husband, Nick.  After marrying in 1945, she lived in Edmonton, Gull Lake (Saskatchewan), Stettler, and finally Lacombe (1969).  She was a fastidious homemaker and an excellent cook turning out tasty meals, pastries, and preserves.  Nancy was an adept seamstress who created dresses for her daughters.  In her later years she often accompanied Nick to Clive, where they worked together cleaning the "office".  Nancy was both a caring wife and mother.
