Pane Phanouvong

The family wishes to announce, with great sadness that our beloved Pane Phanouvong of Lacombe passed away on December 18, 2023 at the age of 92. 

Pane immigrated from Vientiane, Laos with her 11 children where some called France and Australia their homes while Pane took her 6 other children with her to Lacombe, AB Canada and made them a home as a single mother. Pane had a green thumb and always spent most of her time out in the garden when the Alberta weather was cooperating or she always enjoyed going out on the town with her friends or her "partner" she would call her.  Her heart was always full when we would have large family gathering when all 11 of her children, their spouses, her grandchildren, great grandchildren and family members that are not by blood but she raised them as her own can all come together once every few years.  Pane's kindness and generosity are only a couple of many traits that have captured the hearts of all of us and she will be missed deeply. 

Please join us in celebrating Pane in a Lao Buddhist ceremony on Thursday December 28, 2023 at 1:00PM at Wilson's Funeral Chapel & Crematorium (6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe).
