Pearl Anna Johnston passed away peacefully at Royal Oak Village, Lacombe on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 at the age 92 years. Pearl’s passing has left behind a legacy of love and care that will be cherished by all who knew her.
Pearl's love and devotion to her family knew no bounds. She is survived by her children Linda (Alan), Larry (Wanda), Victor (Elisa), and Cathy (John). Her grandchildren, Shannon (Brian), Megan (Ian), Chantelle (Kendal), Chelsea (Brent), Crystle (Justin), Courtney (Ben), Auston, Sam, Justin (Corrine), and Kyla, who were the joy of her life. Her 11 great-grandchildren, who brought immense happiness to her later years. She is survived by her brothers, Roy, Martin, and Bob, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her daughter Shirley, husbands Joe & Frank, parents Dan and Lily, sisters Vera and Jean, and brothers John, Bert, and Dan.
Pearl was born in the Lincoln District and spent most of her life in the Lacombe area. She had a passion for gardening, dance, music, a great many handicrafts as well as loved to travel. She was an active volunteer in the community throughout her life.
Pearl will be dearly remembered, and her spirit will live on in the memories she created and the lives she touched.
For those that wish to pay their respects you are invited to a public viewing at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, Lacombe, Alberta on Friday, May 5, 2023 between 9:30 and 11:00 a.m.
Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrew’s United Church, 5226 – 51 Avenue. Lacombe on Friday, May 5, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. with interment to follow in the Fairview Cemetery, followed by fellowship and refreshments at the Kozy Korner, 5024 - 53 Street, Lacombe, Alberta T4L 1J6.
