The world lost a wonderful person on Tuesday October 1st, 2022 and we will never be the same without Bert de Bruijn in our lives.

Bert is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Marilyn; his children, Randy (Paula), Russ (Janet), Bert (Rose), Esther, Dave, Monica (Darren), Sherisse (Sam); his grandchildren, Christiana (Manny), James (Noemi), Magan, Lawrence, Lex, Andy, Nico, Ellis, Owen, Charlette, Zoe, Nigel, Josh, Tatiyana, Joshua, and Annabelle; his great grandchildren, Bennet, Travis, and Finnley. Also survived by his brothers, John (Stephanie), Dan (Dorothy), Gerard (Betty), and his sisters, Johanna (Malcolm) and Sarina (Bob).

Bert is predeceased by his sister, Myra; his brothers, Henk and Jim; and his parents, Jannetje and Bertus.

Special thanks to the staff at Points West Living. Even though Bert "Papa" was not there for a long period of time, we thank you so much for all the love and care you gave him.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 05, 2022 at Wilson's Funeral Chapel from 7-9:00 pm.

A Funeral Service will be held at Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe, AB on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 4:00 p.m., with burial to follow at Lacombe Fairview Cemetery.

A video recording of the funeral and graveside service will be made available on this website shortly following the conclusion of these services.
