Richard Nicholas Veldkamp

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the sudden passing of Richard Veldkamp of Fenn, Alberta. He went to be with his Lord and Savior on June 12, 2025 at the age of 42.

Richard is survived by his loving wife Katie and his four children William, Caylee, Callen, and Thea. Also his Mom Sharon, (Dick) Dalhuisen and siblings Alison (Edwin), Geri (Tony), Kimberly (Joe), Jeremy (Jackie), Monica, Allison (Dave). His in-laws Frank, Janita (aka Muff) Kuipers, Ben and girlfriend Alyssa, Melissa and Nick (Fayth). Also his Grampa Richard Veldkamp, Oma Gerry Koerselman,  25 nieces and nephews, and a large extended family.

Richard was born in Coaldale, AB on May 14, 1983. As a child he was very mischievous and that carried on into his adulthood He moved to Lacombe at the age of 18 and found his calling for dairy farming. Soon after he met Katie, the love of his life, they were married on October 14, 2006. After their 4 children were born, they moved to Fenn (Stettler) in 2016 and started their own dairy. He loved being at home with his family. There was very little that got him off the farm besides his kids hockey games and countless trips to pick up a new saltwater fish or coral for the fish tank. He will be dearly missed by family and friends.

A Funeral Service will take place on Friday, June 20, 2025 at 11:00 am at the Stettler Community Hall. 5101 46 Ave, Stettler, AB T0C 2L1

A Recording of the Service will appear the evening of the service.
