Robert Peter Doyle

Robert Peter Doyle born April 24,1929 passed away peacefully in Lacombe, AB on January 15,2024 at the age of 94.

He will be remembered by his son Terry(Bobbi-Jo), his daughter Carol (Ron), his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Bob was an adventurous young man, leaving home at fourteen to work the land. At the age of 24, immigrated to Canada where he joined the army. While stationed in Germany, he reconnected with his sweetheart Phyllis still in England. They were married September 1,1956 in England ,then moved to British Columbia after he was honourably discharged from the Princess Patricia Canadian light infantry in 1957.Dad spent the next 27 years working  agriculture research for the government in B.C. and then Alberta. After retiring, mom and dad moved to Vancouver Island. From their cozy cottage on the Island they travelled the world extensively. In 2016 his loving wife of sixty years passed away. At the age of  87, he sold his house in B.C. , then moved back to Lacombe  AB. And bought another house where he lived as a bachelor until he was 94.

He will be well remembered for his cheeky humour, big smile and mischievous nature.
