Robert "Bob" McDaniel Obituary

Robert "Bob" Joseph McDaniel 1955-2022

Bob died on January 4, 2022. Predeceased by father Kevin, sister Maureen, father-in-law Walter and brother-in-law Eric. Born in North Vancouver and raised in Edmonton, innate in Bob was a strong work ethic and a generous spirit. The beginning of a career at Alberta Transportation lead to joining two partners and successfully creating the Red Deer engineering firm EXH. His passions included a love of speedy motorcycles, cars and boats; spending time at the Pigeon Lake cabin with family and friends; and enjoying winters on the Big Island of Hawaii. Here, he loved diving, playing cards and listening to Izzy on the lanai.

Bob is survived by his wife Sylvia, son Thomas, mother Lynne (Lydia), brothers and sisters Larry (Margaret), Linda, David (Colleen) and Diana (Joe); mother in-law Helen and in-laws Ellen (Metro), David (Sandra), Jerry (Tara), Lori (Dennis), and many nieces and nephews who enjoyed being spoiled by their Uncle Bob.

A Celebration of Bob’s life will be held at a later date.
