It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our partner, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He passed away peacefully with family at his side in Medicine Hat Hospital on January 03, 2024.

Roy was born in Lacombe, Alberta and came from a large family of nine.

He inherited his passion for farming and ranching and the love of cattle and horses from farming with his dad and older brothers.

In 1969, he moved his family to Airdrie to manage a ranch for Stewart Ranches. Durning this time Roy was instrumental in the initial start-up of the ranching operation in Lathrup Wells Neveda USA (Amargosa Valley). 1977 Roy moved his family to Patricia Alberta to Manage the Bar 4T Ranch. After ten years at the Bar 4T Roy retired from ranching. He relocated to Edmonton and started a very successful handyman business.

In 2014, he returned to Brooks where he met his life partner Bev Signarowski. They enjoyed endless camping trips and road trips to Lacombe and Saskatchewan to visit their families. Roy also enjoyed gardening and took great pride in keeping their yard pristine. In the winter months they enjoyed time at their home in Yuma Arizona.

He is survived by his partner Bev Signarowski and Dixie Alberts, the mother of his children, Richard (Marlene) of Lethbridge, Rod (Carrie) of Brooks, Don (Maria) of Barrhead and Lynsey (Henry) of Brooks; brothers, Robert (Kim) and Martin (Tilly) and several grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerousness nieces and nephew’s

He was predeceased by his parents Dan and Lily and siblings, Pearl, Jean, Vera, John, Bert and Dan.

A Graveside Service for Roy will be held on Friday May 3, 2024 at the Fairview Cemetery, Lacombe, Aberta at 11:00 a.m. A Gathering will follow at the Kozy Korner, 5024 - 53 Street, Lacombe, Alberta between 1:00 and 5:00 p.m.
