Ruth Abigail (Davies) Hoppus

With sadness we announce the passing of Ruth Hoppus of Lacombe, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital, on Thursday, August 24, 2023, at the age of 95.

Ruth is survived by her brother, Ken Davies (Vicky); niece, Sandy Williams (the late David Williams); and nephews, Tim Davies (Shelley) and Wade Davies (Linda). She is also survived by her great nieces and nephews, Lindsay Williams, Morgan Williams (Sasha), Logan Williams (Cherilyn), Gina Davies (Ty), Jamie Davies, Teegan Lucas (James), and Braedon Davies (Jaden); her great-great nieces, Beaux Williams and Kendall Williams; great-great nephew, Bane Williams; and soon to be born baby.  Ruth is survived by relatives in the U.K., as well as Myra Avey, and extended Hoppus family.

Ruth was predeceased by her son, Morgan Lee (1951): and her husband, Les (1995).

The family wishes to say thank you to Dr. Nieuwoudt, Dr. Olivier, Dr. Daviduck, and the staff at the Lacombe Seniors Lodge, Royal Oak Assisted Living and Unit 32 at Red Deer Regional Hospital for their care, compassion, and concern.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wilson’s Funeral Chapel (6120 Hwy 2A, Lacombe) on Thursday, September 7, 2023, at 10:30 a.m., with a time for fellowship following at the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #79,  5138 - 49 Street, Lacombe, Alberta at 11:00 a.m.
