The family of Sandra Jean Scott Carson sadly announce her passing on September 19, 2024, in Red Deer, Alberta, at the age of 71.
Sandy was born in Red Deer, Alberta and attended River Glen School. After school she lived a full life as a banker, bookkeeper and postal office worker.
Our beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Sandy, was known for her hearty laugh, contagious smile and kind heart. She will be greatly missed at card games, camping and every event that involved food. She loved all the leftovers!
Sandy was predeceased by her parents Allan and Clara Lila “Pat” Scott
Sandy will be sadly and deeply missed by her husband of 30 years Rick and their two children. Son Hamish Moore (Laura Lovelock) (Michelle St. Dennis Moore) and Grandson Connor Moore. Daughter Kim (Jack) McGilvray and Grandchildren Alex and Annelies. Rick’s Sister Shirley (Dave) Hames and Brother Duane (Marilyn) Carson.
Sandy is also survived by her three older Siblings; Sister Marjorie (Herman) Wagmann and their three daughters, Karen (Jamie) Pilkey, Tricia (Darwin), Draper, Bonnie (Lorin), Rattai; Her Brother David (Lynn) Scott and their six children Carrie (Elbert) Koster, Diana (Marvin) Christie, Todd (Andrea Pellegrino) Scott, Jim (Erika) Barr, Shannan (Renny) Ceccato) and Christopher (Tally) Scott; Her Brother Terry (Vicki) Scott and their two sons Micheal (Amber) Scott and Adam (Amanda) Scott; Sandy was also blessed with 25 Grand Nieces and Nephews and 6 Great Grand Nieces and Nephews.
Sandy left this world peacefully surrounded by her family and we extend our heartfelt thanks to the staff at the Red Deer Regional Hospital for their compassionate care during her brief stay there.
A Celebration of Sandy's Life will be held on Thursday, Sept 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm at Wilson's Funeral Chapel - Lacombe.
