Sharon Fisher Obituary

It is with sadness that we had to say "good-bye for now" to Sharon, a loving wife, mother of 2, and a grandmother of 3. She was surrounded by loving family as she passed peacefully, after a short time in the Red Deer, Alberta Hospital. Clearly, our Heavenly Father, -- full of grace and mercy, decided her journey here on earth was fulfilled, and she eased into Glory to be with her Lord and Savior on June 24th, 2025, at the age of 81 years, 10 months.

Sharon will be lovingly remembered by her husband, David, of 60 years; her daughter, Christine Fisher-Bos; son, Craig Fisher; and her 3 grandchildren, Tyler, Abbigail, and Ethan; along with her 3 brothers, Roy, Allan, and Norman Sparks; and her sisters-in-law, Janette, Joyce and Sandie -- along with numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Robert “Bob” and Barbara Sparks.

She was an exceptionally creative "self-trained" artist, with many of her paintings gracing the homes of her family.

Sharon was born and raised on the family farm east of Innisfail, Alberta, in the early 1940s era of one room schools -- to which she would ride her horse Tucker, bareback in winter and summer. She also attended school in Penhold, and completed High School in Innisfail. She met the love-of-her-life, David, while working at the Royal Bank in Red Deer. Following their marriage in September of 1965, David's work took them to several Alberta locations, and then to Montreal in 1970 -- followed by stays in Regina, Vancouver and Toronto. All through this period, she cultivated a serious jewellery making business, along with volunteer work at the children's schools. In addition to being a "passionate, and protective mom", she was a prolific reader, and cultivated numerous other hobbies, one of which was having tropical fish tanks throughout the house. Upon David's retirement in 1999, they came "home" to Central Alberta, and her dream log home in Poplar Ridge, just west of Red Deer, where she spent countless hours tending her gardens, and spending time with her oldest grandson. Following 12 years in this home, she was blessed to experience a further 13 years in the beauty of a Country Acreage very near all of her grandchildren, whom she adored. She lived her last year in the comfort of a Condo in Red Deer.  Needless to say, she was never bored, and loved to express her creative talents, in so many different ways.

Because of her creativity, her strong will, and great love for her family, she will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.  Until we meet again, Sharon our beloved.

(For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son ( Jesus), that whosoever believes in Him shall never perish but have eternal life. -- John 3:16)
