Shayden Tanner L'Hirondelle

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Shayden Tanner L'Hirondelle, who left us peacefully on June 25, 2025, at the age of 19. Born on August 10, 2005, Shayden was a truly remarkable soul—the kindest, most loving, funny, and intelligent young man.

Shayden was a warrior from the very beginning, having been born with Alagille Syndrome. Despite the many obstacles he faced throughout his life, he never let anything stand in his way. He approached every challenge with incredible courage and determination, fighting bravely until his very last moments.

Shayden had a zest for life and cherished his passions. He loved gaming, immersing himself in virtual worlds, and found immense joy in adventuring in the mountains with his family. A devoted fan, he proudly cheered on his beloved Oilers. Above all, Shayden’s greatest love was his family. We will forever miss his heartfelt "I love yous" and his never-ending, warm hugs.

Shayden’s spirit, strength, and boundless love touched everyone who knew him. He leaves behind a legacy of resilience, kindness, and joy that will continue to inspire us all.

A Celebration of Shayden’s Life will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 5, 2025, at Casey's Cabin in Lacombe, Alberta. This will be a casual event, wear your hockey jerseys or purple his favorite color.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shayden's memory to two organizations close to our hearts: the Lacombe Palliative Care Society or The Lending Cupboard.
