SHEILA WYNDHAM
1925 - 2022
It is with deep sadness the family of Sheila Wydham announce the passing of a truly remarkable woman. Sheila lived a long and fulfilling life, from leaving England as a war bride in 1946, to seeing most of Canada with her husband as a member of the RCAF, to farming in small town Central Alberta. Sheila was a witness to and participant in truly historical events. Those of us that loved her best will remember her for her love of singing (often at the drop of a hat), gardening, and all of God’s creatures, especially her beloved dogs. Sheila’s love of life and her family shone out in everything she did, singing in the choir, looking after grandchildren, sewing clothing for church bazaars, and donating to numerous worthy causes that helped the poor and unfortunate.
She is survived by her five sons and their families David (Jackie), Kathryn, Michael, Sam and Elizabeth; “Brian – d.2013” (Sandra), Jeffery and Christopher; John (Sandy), Shawn and Tristan; Ralph (Christina), Michael; George (Vivian), Annalise and Alexander; Alan (Lisa), James, Peter and Sarah, as well as six great grandchildren.
We would like to thank the staff at Points West in Red Deer for making her final days as comfortable as possible.
Sheila was a warm, loving and above all happy person. She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
If friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, Memorial Tributes in Sheila's honour may be made directly to the Mustard Seed, 6002 - 54 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta T4N 4M8 (1-877-731-7333) or at https://giving.theseed.ca/donate-details/.
Thank you and God Bless.
