She is survived by her daughter-in-law Susan Baker, grandchildren Katherine and Wes Baker, and great-grandsons Ethan and Cody, as well as by her stepsons Nick (Donna), Steve (Faye), Brian (Hazel), Marty (Karen) and their families, her brother Les, sister Doris (Ron) Lund and many extended family members.

Shirley was born in Ontario, the second of five children. The family moved to Rimbey in 1934 when Shirley was just a year old and she lived in the County of Ponoka most of her life. She made a career at Rimbey ATB Financial, while also working on the farm with her husband Richard. She was an avid crocheter, gifting her handmade towels and dish scrubbers to everyone around her. She enjoyed leather braiding, playing crib, and solving word and jigsaw puzzles. Shirley used her quad almost daily to get around the farm right up until she made the move to Rimbey Valley View Manor in 2020.
The family would like to thank the staff at Rimbey Hospital Continuing Care and Good Samaritan Clearwater Centre in Rocky Mountain House for the wonderful care Shirley received these past few years.
A Celebration of Life will be held in Rimbey at Wilson's Funeral Chapel and Crematorium on July 5 at 11:30 am. Shirley will be laid to rest at Gull Lake Cemetery next to her husband Richard.
Memorial donations can be made to Gull Lake Cemetery. RR3 Lacombe, AB. T4L 2N3
