With heavy hearts the family of Steve Yaceyko announces his peaceful passing at Lacombe Long Term Care Center on May 14, 2024, at the age of 94.
Steve is survived by his devoted wife Esther, son Marlin, daughter Sharon (Michael) Schulze, brother David, many nieces and nephews, and extended family.
Steve was predeceased by his parents Prokop and Anne; his sisters: infant Tillie, Sophie, Mary, Nancy, Kathleen; his brothers: Bill, John, Peter, and Alex.
Steve had dedicated his life to pastoring and teaching in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. He served in many communities in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan and Manitoba. He was passionate about serving the Lord and did so humbly and quietly, never seeking for attention. He loved his family dearly and never failed to tell them.
The family of Steve appreciates the care given to him during his stay at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Center.
A Funeral Service will take place on Wednesday, May 22, 2024 at 2:00 pm at Wilson's Funeral Chapel - Lacombe
Memorial donations can be made directly to “A Better World” or to ADRA (Adventist Development and Relief Agency) in care of the Lacombe SDA Church, 5804 – 45th Avenue, Lacombe, AB T4L 1M6.
