Tetsy (Reitsma) Mulder Obituary
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Tetsy Mulder (nee Reitsma), who left us on April 12, 2026, at the age of 89.
Tetsy was born in Holland and moved to Lacombe at the age of 2, where she spent her life building a home filled with faith, love, and family. She had a deep love for Jesus, which guided her life and shone through in her kindness, generosity, and compassion toward others.
Tetsy was a devoted wife to her beloved husband, John Mulder, with whom she shared many years of marriage until his passing in 1997. Together, they built a strong and loving family that became the center of her life.
She was a loving and proud mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Nothing meant more to Tetsy than her family — she loved them deeply and treasured every moment spent together. Her legacy lives on in each of them — in laughter, in love, and in the simple ways she made life brighter.
Tetsy will be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor, her gentle and caring nature, and the joy she brought to all who knew her. Her greatest happiness was found in time spent with her family, all of whom she cherished beyond measure.
She will be lovingly remembered by her children: Jack (Mary Jean) Mulder, Gary (Wendy) Mulder, Darrell (Karen) Mulder, Marlene (Murray) Shaw, Cheryl (Russ) Senft, and Karl (Shauna) Mulder; her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her siblings and in-laws; many nieces and nephews, and the many church and community friends whose lives she touched.
Tetsy will be deeply missed and forever held in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.
The family would like to extend a sincere thank you to the staff at Royal Oak and Lacombe Hospital for their ongoing compassion and dedicated care.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 09, 2026 at 2:00pm at Woody Nook Church.
